Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Pixevent collects from hosts and guests, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep it simple: we collect only what we need to run your event album, and we never sell your data.

At a glance

  • Guests upload without an account or email address.
  • Your email is used only for sign-in, receipts, service messages, and support.
  • Albums are private and controlled by the host.
  • We never sell your data or use your photos for ads or AI training.
  • When a plan ends, your photos are kept, not deleted. Extend anytime to reopen the gallery.

1. Information we collect

We collect only what we need to run Pixevent:

  • Hosts: your name, email address, sign-in details, and the events and albums you create.
  • Guests: the photos and videos you upload, plus your name and message if you choose to add them. Guests never need an account or email address.
  • Payments: purchases are processed by Polar, our payment provider. We never see or store your full card details; we receive confirmation of your plan and purchase.
  • Usage data: basic information such as pages visited, device and browser type, and approximate location, collected through Google Analytics to understand how the site is used.

2. How we use your email address

If you are a host, we use your email address to:

  • Create and sign in to your account.
  • Send purchase receipts and plan details.
  • Send important service messages, such as reminders before your upload period or storage period ends.
  • Reply when you contact our support team.

3. How we use your information

We use the information above to provide and improve Pixevent: to store and display event albums, let hosts view and download uploads, process purchases, keep the service secure, and fix problems.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use photos or videos you upload for advertising or to train AI models.

4. Who can see event photos

Event albums are private by default. They can only be reached through the event's link or QR code and are not listed publicly or indexed by search engines.

The host controls the album. Hosts can view and download uploads, turn guest uploads on or off, and revoke or replace event links at any time. Anyone the host shares the link or QR code with may be able to access it, so hosts should share it only with their guests.

5. Who we share information with

We share information only with service providers that help us run Pixevent, and only as needed for them to do so:

  • Hosting and file storage providers, which store the website and uploaded files.
  • Polar, which processes payments.
  • Google Analytics, which provides website usage statistics.
  • Email delivery providers, which send account and service emails.

6. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep hosts signed in and, through Google Analytics, to measure site traffic. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some parts of the host dashboard may not work without them.

7. How long we keep data

Uploaded photos, videos, and messages are available for the download period of the event's plan, plus grace days. When the plan ends, the gallery closes but the uploads are not deleted; the host can buy an extension at any time to reopen it. Hosts can ask us to delete their event data at any time.

Account information is kept while your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your personal information, except where we need to keep limited records such as purchase history.

8. Security

We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, and reputable infrastructure providers to protect your data. No online service can be completely secure, but we work to protect your information and will act promptly if a problem occurs.

9. Your choices

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information at any time by emailing hello@pixevents.party. Guests who want a photo or video removed can ask the event host, or contact us and we will help.

10. Children

Pixevent accounts are for adults. Hosts are responsible for the content uploaded to their events, including photos of children, and for getting any permission needed from parents or guardians.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page, and we will email hosts about significant changes.
