Terms of Service

These terms explain the rules for using Pixevent, for both event hosts and guests. Please read them before creating an event or buying a plan.

At a glance

  • You own what you upload; hosts control their event albums.
  • Plans are one-time purchases, paid through Polar. No subscription.
  • All purchases are final and non-refundable.
  • Every plan includes grace days, and your photos are kept after your plan ends.
  • No illegal, explicit, or harmful content.

1. Using Pixevent

Pixevent lets hosts create private event albums and share a QR code or link so guests can upload photos, videos, and messages. By creating an account, buying a plan, or uploading content, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. Accounts

Hosts need an account. You must give accurate information, keep your sign-in details secure, and are responsible for activity on your account. Guests do not need an account to upload.

3. Your content

You keep ownership of the photos, videos, and messages you upload. By uploading, you give Pixevent a limited permission to store, process, and display that content only as needed to run the service, for example to show it in the event album and let the host download it.

Hosts own and control their event albums, including deciding who can view them and deleting uploads. Guests who upload to an event agree that the host can view, download, and share what they upload.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Pixevent to upload or share content that:

  • Is illegal, or that you do not have the right to share.
  • Is sexually explicit, involves minors inappropriately, or is hateful, violent, or harassing.
  • Infringes someone else's copyright, privacy, or other rights.
  • Contains malware or is meant to disrupt or misuse the service.

5. Album privacy and sharing

Albums are private by default and reachable only through the event link or QR code. Anyone who has the link or QR code may be able to upload to, and depending on your settings view, the album. Hosts are responsible for who they share it with and for the album settings they choose.

6. Plans and payments

Pixevent plans are one-time purchases, not subscriptions. Each plan includes the events, albums, upload period, and storage period described on our pricing page at the time of purchase. Payments are processed by Polar, our payment provider, and prices may include applicable taxes.

7. No refunds

All purchases are final and non-refundable, except where a refund is required by law. Please review the plan details, and test your event before sharing it with guests. If something is not working, contact us and we will do our best to help.

8. Grace days, storage, and extensions

Each plan includes an upload window and a longer download window, each followed by grace days at no extra cost. When your plan ends, the gallery closes but your photos are not deleted. You can buy extra download days at any time, before or after your plan ends, to reopen the gallery.

9. Removing content and accounts

We may remove content that breaks these terms, and we may suspend or close accounts that seriously or repeatedly break them. You can stop using Pixevent and ask us to delete your account at any time.

10. Service availability

We work hard to keep Pixevent reliable, especially on event days, but the service is provided "as is" and we cannot guarantee it will always be available or error-free. We may change or improve features over time.

11. Limitation of liability

To the extent allowed by law, Pixevent is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of content you did not download before your storage period ended. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the plan the claim relates to.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page, and we will email hosts about significant changes. Continuing to use Pixevent after an update means you accept the new terms.
