How to play tambola
Tambola, also called housie, is a Diwali party favorite for all ages:
- Each player gets a ticket with 15 numbers spread across 3 rows.
- The caller draws numbers from 1 to 90 one at a time, without repeats.
- Players mark a number on their ticket when it is called.
- The first player to complete a prize pattern calls it out, and the caller checks the ticket.
Tambola prize ideas
For Diwali, play for sweets, diyas, small gifts, or gift cards.
- Early Five: the first player to mark any 5 numbers.
- Top Line, Middle Line, and Bottom Line: a complete row.
- Four Corners: the first and last numbers of the top and bottom rows.
- Full House: all 15 numbers on the ticket.
